Come and learn the basic off-road riding techniques required to ride and enjoy most of Yorkshires countryside.
During the day you will learn the following techniques: Bike set up, correct use of gears and brakes, Ascending and Descending positions, riding rocks / tree roots, front and wheel lifts and much more, all set in the Beautiful scenery of the Chevin Forest Park, 5 miles from Faweather Grange.

Sheepdog Experience
There isn’t a more perfect day than being on the edge of the moors steeped in the history of the Yorkshire Dales and experiencing one of man’s oldest skills.
You will experience a day in the company of our fully trained, fun loving sheepdogs learning not just the skills of working a trained dog but how they are trained, their history, their future and their adaptability into companion homes.
You can ask as many questions as you want as your day will be spent with instructors who are fully qualified trainers and behaviourists.

Brewery trips by bike
Why not try something a bit different with one of our new guided rides with a Micro-Brewery visit.
After your ride you will learn how the beer is brewed while enjoying tasters and snacks.
Two Breweries we use:
- Salts Brewery, Shipley (Thursday nights only)
- Old Bear Brewery, Keighley (Wednesday/Saturday)
Note: Over 18’s only, you will need to take a taxi back to the lodge after the Brewery Tour.

There are many graded walks through Woodland or over Ilkley Moor all accessible from the lodge doorstep.
Faweather Grange provides you with local walks books and OS maps. We are happy to advise you on a number of options in the area.
